Please note there has been a presenter change, and instead of Scott Stuart, this webinar will now be presented by Dr. Paulette Christopher. You can find Paulette's bio below.
This presentation will be similar the presentation earlier in 2025 – Paulette will review the basics of IPT including IPT theory, structure, and techniques, as well as several tools like the Interpersonal Inventory that you can incorporate into your clinical practice right after the webinar.
"Very well explained, helpful examples, the role play was incredibly helpful, particularly with the specific tips and tricks throughout"
IPT is used in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and PTSD, and can be used transdiagnostically to provide effective treatment to a wide variety of clients. IPT is based on attachment and interpersonal theory, and emphasises that a client’s relationships impact the client’s experience of distress, and that the client’s distress also impacts those around them. IPT utilises a Biopsychosocial/Cultural/Spiritual model which recognises the specific influences of culture and spirituality on distress and community.
