Victorian payroll tax

When:  May 21, 2024 from 12:30 to 13:30 (AEDT)

Join us for this webinar with Andrew Hosken from the State Revenue Office of Victoria who will provide information on recent changes to Victorian Payroll Tax rules, and the potential implications these changes will have for our Victorian members. This session will include:

  • an overview of how payroll tax works
  • discussion on the contractor provisions as they apply to medical and allied health practices
  • relevant case law and public rulings

Please note this session will have relevance to practices in Victoria that engage multiple practitioners to provide services to clients, but will not have relevance for sole practitioners – i.e. members who operate their own practice as the sole provider as you are unlikely to exceed the required $700,000 (soon to be $900,000) wages threshold.

Our presenter for this webinar is Andrew Hosken, State Revenue Office Victoria
Andrew is Manager of the Customer Experience & Education unit at SRO and has more than 35 years of experience in the administration and application of state and employment taxes while working for both SRO and for 4 years consulting in employment taxes in Sydney.

Andrew has worked in a range of compliance and technical roles within SRO including investigations, technical advice, and objections. For more than 12 years Andrew has played a key role in the training and education of SRO staff and customers.
