The profitable, sustainable, and burnout-free framework for private practice

When:  Jul 29, 2026 from 19:00 to 20:00 (AEST)
One in three psychologists report unsustainable workloads. Sixteen percent are at high or severe burnout risk. And yet most burnout conversations in this profession still end up in the same place: better boundaries, more self-care, longer holidays.

This isn't that conversation. Burnout in private practice is often a business design problem. The psychologists most at risk aren't the least resilient ones in the room. They're the ones running practices that were never built to last, undercharging for their work, carrying caseloads that exceed what's clinically sustainable, and operating without any real visibility on the financial health of their business.

Damien Adler, Co-Founder of Zanda and a practicing psychologist, draws on original research from 681 practitioners across nine countries to walk through a framework for building what most practitioners were never shown how to build: a practice that is sustainable, profitable, and designed to protect the person running it.

In this session we’ll cover:
  • Why unsustainable practices get built, including the training gap, fee avoidance, and the full calendar trap
  • A sustainability audit you complete during the session
  • The financial blind spots most psychologists carry across fees, caseload, client lifetime value, and revenue clarity
  • Practical changes in each area you can act on immediately

You will leave with a clear picture of where your practice is fragile and what to fix first. Burnout is the endpoint of an unsustainable practice. This session shows you how to build a more profitable one without paying for it with your health.
