Forensic psychology

When:  Dec 6, 2024 from 13:00 to 14:00 (AEST)

This webinar will begin with providing definitions of radicalisation and extremism, distinguishing between the processes that lead individuals to adopt extreme beliefs and the behaviours that may arise from them.

Dr Carollyne Youssef will then discuss:

  • how radicalisation and extremism can manifest clinically
  • some of the warning signs in clinical practice, including behavioural changes and other signs of ideological indoctrination
  • risk factors which can contribute to the likelihood of radicalisation such as social isolation, exposure to extremist narratives, and personal grievances
  • referral pathways.
