From 2013 to 2019, Elysium Psychology operated as a solo practitioner business. Recognising the need for growth and long-term sustainability, Katy Dib transitioned her practice into a group model and diversified referral streams. In this presentation Katy will discuss:
- Transitioning to a group practice: Navigating the challenges and opportunities of expansion and building a collaborative team
- Diversifying referral streams: Reducing Medicare dependence by incorporating funding pathways such as NDIS, WorkCover, TAC, VOCAT, WDP, Restore, MyAgedCare, private referrals, and school partnerships
- Creating a sustainable model: Aligning services with community needs, adopting flexible scheduling, and developing strong referrer relationships

Katy Dib is the Director and Principal Psychologist at Elysium Psychology and Co-creator of PsychTrakka, an app developed through Elysium Codeworx Pty Ltd. With over a decade of business experience, Katy has immersed herself in small business learning through programs with Small Business Victoria, local council initiatives, and women in business networks.
A mum of three, Katy is well-versed in the daily balancing act of work and parenting. She is an Ahpra Board-Approved Supervisor, passionate about mentoring emerging psychologists through placements and internships in partnership with RMIT, La Trobe, and Monash Universities. She is also an advocate for mental health awareness - in the community and online.
