Mindful Movement for Self-Care

When:  Jun 1, 2022 from 19:00 to 20:00 (ET)
Please note, this is the session originally scheduled for Wednesday, 11 May 2022.
Those who registered to attend on the 11th do not need to re-register for the new date.

  • How often do you recommend self-care to your clients, and run out of time to refill your own cup?
  • Ever get to the end of the day and feel like your energy has completely disappeared?
  • Do you find it difficult to schedule time out for yourself?

Yes? Then join AAPi member, Psychologist, and Yoga Therapist Natalie Haider for an hour of mindful movement, delivered straight to you, live via Zoom.

What to expect:

  • Experiential introduction to some of the varied yoga tools that support well-being such as breath, movement, mindfulness, and meditation
  • A gentle, accessible, and inclusive yoga practice integrating mindful movement with breath
  • The practice is designed to calm your nervous system and recharge your batteries, helping you to be more present with clients and more compassionate with yourself

Requirements:

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Either a chair for seated movement, or enough space on the floor to stretch arms up, down, and out to the sides
  • Fur babies and other family members more than welcome to join in!

Natalie is running two sessions for us - Saturday, 28 May at 1:00 pm and Wednesday, 1 June at 7:00 pm.  They will be different and you can attend one or both sessions. You do need to register for each one separately though. The afternoon practice will be more energising and the evening practice more calming.
